International conference series “New Trends in Applied Chemistry” (NTAC) is a biannual event, conducted in honour of Prof. K V Thomas, who was the former chair of the Department of Chemistry and the former Minister of Govt. of India. Over the years, we have had the privilege of hosting eminent scientists, including Nobel Laureates such as Prof. Ei-ichi Negishi (2016), Prof. Robert Grubbs (2019), and Prof. Ada Yonath (2023), along with distinguished Professors such as Prof. Yitzhak Tor (University of California), Prof. Tamaoki Nobuyuki (Hokkaido University), Prof. Jan-Erling Bäckvall (Stockholm University), Prof. René Janssen (TU Eindhoven), and Prof. Arthi Jayaraman (University of Delaware), among others. The year 2026 will also mark a special milestone in the history of our college as we celebrate 50 Years of Women in Sacred Heart. To commemorate this occasion, we aim to celebrate and showcase the remarkable achievements of eminent women scientists whose pioneering research continues to inspire generations.
